Seeing the plight of a former woman cricketer, who was struggling for the treatment of her mother, who was in a critical situation with Covid, Indian national cricket team skipper Virat Kohli came to her rescue.

Going into detail, former woman cricketer K.S. Sravanthi Naidu's mother – S.K. Suman has tested positive for the virus and was in a critical condition. To seek help for her treatment, he had requested BCCI, HCA.She got help from Virat Kohli, who gave an amount of Rs 6.77 lakh, for the treatment of the cricketer's mother.

N. Vidya Yadav, former BCCI South Zone convenor (women's cricket) and sister of former BCCI President, N. Shivlal Yadav took to Twitter to seek help for the cricketer. In the tweet, she tagged Virat Kohli.

After he was tagged in the tweet, Virat Kohli donated a sum of Rs 6.77 lakh. Vidya Yadav thanked the skipper for his help and said, she was amazed at the way Virat Kohli responded.

Earlier, Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma started a fund raiser to help India in fighting the pandemic. The couple donated Rs 2 crore for the fundraiser. The power couple has decided to raise Rs 7 crore, but the fundraiser has collected more than 11 crores.
