The Indian team ended its group stage on a high note and is just two steps away from lifting the T20 World Cup trophy. India will play its semis match tomorrow with the England team and if it manages to defeat the English team the Rohit men will lock horns with the winner of another semis match.
Ahead of the crucial semis match, Indian fans have something to cheer about as star player Surya Kumar Yadav reached the top position in the ICC players rankings. The updated rankings list was released today which says SKY is at the top position with 869 points.
This is the career-best position of Surya Kumar Yadav who is on a roll. She showed his capabilities with his 360 degrees batting. Whenever India wanted he gave his best and already scored a few cities. When the Indian top order failed in the match against Zimbabwe he fired a few shorts and recorded quick 61 runs in just 25 balls.
In the death overs, Surya Kumar Yadav made it tough for the Zimbabwe team and the bowlers could not save themselves from batting thrashed all out of the park. No wonder he is in the top position now.
Though he achieved a big success in the ICC ratings the 360 degrees player is carrying high expectations and he has a lot more to do in the semi-finals and the finals of the T20 World Cup. If he can fire in the middle order and the death overs nothing can stop India and let us hope that this happens.
