Smitha Sabharwal Case: No Further Action!

Telangana IAS Officer Smitha Sabharwal who is currently offering her services as Additional Secretary to CM KCR sued Outlook magazine for the 'No Boring Babu' article in its sexist gossip column Deep Throat describing her as an 'eye candy' at official meetings.
Outlook moved the Hyderabad High Court seeking dismissal of the case filed against by CCS Police based on the complaint given by Smitha Sabharwal. Arguments took place between both the parties in the High Court on Wednesday. Justice B Sivashankar Rao issued orders directing the cops not to take further action against Outlook until the final judgement was delivered.
On July 5th, Smitha Sabharwal's Husband and IAS Officer Akun Sabharwal filed a police complaint against Outlook magazine for its sexist article. Based on the complaint, A case was filed against Outlook representatives Madhavi Thatha, Sahil Bhatia, Krishna Prasad and Indraneil Roy. Subsequently, Outlook approached High Court on July 13th seeking quash of the case.
