Putting to an end to the unavailability of liquor, the Centre gave its nod to go ahead with the liquor sales in the states except for the Containment zones from the 4th of May which marks the starting of the third phase of the existing lockdown in the country.
As a result, the center allowed to reopen the liquor shops in the green, orange, and red zones leaving the containment zones but with some measures and restrictions like social distancing when they were in a queue.
