The situation in Narasaraopet went upside down in just 15 days. When the lockdown was imposed in Andhra Pradesh, the city reported zero cases and now the city was declared as the hotspot.

As of now, the positive cases of COVI 19 in Narasaraopet stood at 125. During the initial days of the outbreak of the virus, social distancing was not followed in the city which turned the situation even ugly.

Going into details, a Cable operator who is from Varavakatta of Narasaraopet died on the 9th of April which is the first case in the city. He got infected from a person who hails from Guntur.

The authorities have found out that the Guntur man was infected with the virus from the attendees of the Markaz Masjid of Delhi. The cable operator became the reason for the spread of the virus

More than 94 people were infected with the virus from Varavakatta alone which makes the area the hotspot for the virus. The medical officials have been looking for the positive cases of COVID 19 in the city.

To date, more than 540 members were sent to the quarantine centers and 450 samples were collected for further medical examinations. The people in the city are in fear of the spread of the virus.
