Reports of water leakage in the chamber of Opposition Leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Secretariat surfaced on Tuesday evening. TDP Government took this issue as a matter of prestige and ordered for a CID Probe.

Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao said: 'It's been four months since the building has been inaugurated. Assembly Session have been conducted without any issues. Heavy rainfall was witnessed when Assembly Session were happening but still rain hasn't caused any interruptions. Water entered into Opposition Leader's chamber after yesterday's downpour. Lots of allegations have been made and even MLAs staged a dharna Today. Only MLAs & Officials will be permitted to enter the premises even when Assembly Sessions weren't happening. Officials got alerted after media telecasted water leakage in Jagan's Chamber. They have come to the conclusion that someone had cut the pipe in Opposition Leader's chamber and hence the water got leaked. There is no leakage in any of the other chambers. We have the responsibility to disclose the truth. Hence, A CID Probe has been ordered on this issue'.

Media gave extensive coverage to leakage in Jagan's Chamber. This caused huge embarrassment to the State Government which aims to build a world-class Capital. CID Probe has been ordered now to put an end to the whole controversy.
