Somireddy's Dilemma: Sarvepalli Or Nellore Rural?

Poor Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy..! He was once the most influential leader in Chandrababu Naidu's team. He was all powerful in Nellore district. But, continuous reversals in elections and the defeat of the TDP government in 2019 elections, have robbed him off his importance. Today, he is finding himself helpless and is looking for a safe seat.

Somireddy has always been synonymous with Sarvepalli constituency in Nellore. But for the last five consecutive terms, he has been losing from the same constituency. He now feels the need to shift the constituency. He feels he should shift to Nellore rural constituency. But, the biggest problem there is former Mayor Abdul Aziz. Despite losing he elections last time, Aziz is quite active and is participating in most of the party programmes. So, there is no question of his vacating the seat for Somireddy.

According to sources, Somireddy is now proposing that Aziz should contest for the MLA seat, while he would contest from Nellore MP seat. This way, he will get the much needed change of the constituency, while Aziz would be kept in good humour. Let's see how things pan out.
