Finally, Some Praise From Sonia Gandhi For PV

Years after she hatefully stopped PV Narasimha Rao's body from being brought into the AICC office and years after the body was unceremoniously dispatched off to Hyderabad, AICC chief Sonia Gandhi is albeit grudgingly accepting his greatness and is singing paeons to him. She had to own up PV and say that he was a quintessential Congress man.
This is the first ever time that Sonia Gandhi has praised PV. This is being seen as a great comedown for the Congress chief, who hated him to the core and did not even express proper condolence to him on his death. To avoid PV legacy being usurped by both the TRS and the BJP, she had to eat a humble pie and praise his contribution to India and the party. She had sent a message to the launch of the PV centenary celebrations committee in Telangana. But, she took every care to ensure that the message is limited only to Telangana, where PV had become an emotional issue. The message was meant for only Telangana. She still showed that she has no love lost for him.
The Congress Party is now planning a year long PV Narsimha Rao centenary celebrations across Telangana. This is being mainly done to counter the TRS propaganda, which has almost owned up PV Narasimha Rao.
