Sonia Gandhi Shocks Rahul Over Lockdown
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 March 2020 12:42 PM GMTLeaving the political circles and Congress party sympathizers in a deep shock, Congress party President Sonia Gandhi has supported the 21-day lockdown across the nation.
In this regard, she has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and supported the lockdown. She even termed this as a "welcome step". In her letter, she suggested some measures for economic and health growth.
"As president of the Congress, I would like to state that we will support and collaborate fully with every step taking by the union government to ensure the containment of the pandemic," Sonia Gandhi's letter read.
"At this challenging and uncertain time, it is imperative for each one of us to rise above partisan interests and honour one's duty towards our country and indeed, towards humanity, " she added.
"Alternatively, a cash transfer of Rs 7,500 to every Jan Dhan account holder, PM Kisan Yojana account holder, all old-age/widow/differently-abled persons' pension, MNREGA worker's accounts, as a one-time special measure to tide over the 21-day lockdown period should be considered," she wrote.
In this situation, Rahul Gandhi got even more shocked as he mocked Narendra Modi and his decision to lockdown through a series of Tweets. Let's see how Rahul deal with it.
