Sonia, Priyanka rebuff Telangana Congress seniors, refuse appointment

The Telangana Congress dissidents got a shock of their life when the High Command refused to listen to their litany of complaints. The High Command, which usually encourages dissidence to control the regional leaders, has changed its tack and refused appointments to dissidents from Telangana.
Recently, several senior leaders went to Delhi to submit a list of complaints against TPCC chief Revanth Reddy. But to their shock, not just Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi , but even AICC general secretary KC Venugopal and state incharge Manickam Tagore refused to give them an audience. The leaders had to return empty handed and embarrassed.
Another major shock for the senior leaders is that MPs like Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy did not cooperate with them. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy too made conciliatory statements indicating that he is not interested in fighting Revanth Reddy. Much to their chagrin, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy addressed a joint press conference almost at the same time when the seniors were in Delhi seeking Sonia Gandhi's appointment.
Sources say that Sonia Gandhi also refused an appointment to Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, when he tried to meet her in Parliament. Sources also say that the high command has decided not to encourage any dissidence within the party at the state level. As result, the seniors who went to Delhi, had come back empty handed.
