Awareness about adoption of Villages grew among Public Representatives and Film Celebs after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana in 2014. Several MPs, MLAs and Actors came forward to do their bit for the people of rural villages.
While Mahesh Babu adopted one village each in AP & Telangana, Prakash Raj preferred a village in Mahbubnagar and Vishnu took up the challenge of addressing the issues in as many as 10 villages. Now, One more celebrity joins the league.
Sonu Sood adopted Bahona village in Punjab. He is focusing on providing ringing water and taking care of sanitation. The 'Arundathi' Actor has been distributing water purifiers to those who can't afford them.
Apart from the services in his adopted village, Sonu Sood has been offering bicycles to youth and providing free access to gym in his hometown Moga, punjab. Good work done by any individual need to be appreciated wholeheartedly. Well done Sonu Sood!
