By: Tupaki Desk | 7 May 2021 11:13 AM GMTThe dream of humans to travel in space will be a reality soon. The big step in the process, the bidding for the private commercial space travel will be called in the month of July this year.
The bidding is going to be interesting as big companies like American privately funded aerospace manufacturer and sub-orbital spaceflight services company Blue Origin of Amazon chief Jeff Bezos will take part in the process.
Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin has readied Human Spaceflight that comes with a six-seat capacity. The flight named New Shepard rocket will offer an 11-minute trip to passengers who book spots.
Though there is no official confirmation on the cost of space travel, it has been widely reported that the cost per ticket will be a bomb. To take a trip on space, passengers have to pay approximately $200,000, which translates to Rs 1.5 crore in Indian currency.
The alleged ticket price gives a clear picture of the target audience of the New Shepard rocket. With the tickets priced at a whopping amount, filthy rich people can only afford space travel.
Jeff Bezos's space company will face tough competition from Elon Musk's SpaceX, which is many steps ahead compared to Blue Origin. Let us wait and see how far Jeff Bezos can take the space company, who will serve as Amazon CEO only for a few months.
