Special ACB Court Warns Revanth Reddy To Appear Before It

It is known that Congress firebrand MP Revanth Reddy has embarked on a padayatra from Atchampet in Nagarkurnool district covering a distance of 140 km in support of the farmers who are protesting against the farm bills.

With the MP leading the Padayatra called Rajiv Rythu Bharosa protest, he couldn't appear before the Special ACB court on Monday in connection with the cash-for-vote case.

This did not go well with the ACB Court. The Court served notices to the MP in which the court warned that if the MP didn't appear before the court for the hearing, a warrant will be issued against him.

Except for Revanth Reddy, the other accused MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Sebastian, and Uday Simha have appeared before the special ACB court yesterday for the hearing.

Reports claimed that in the orders served to the Malkajgiri MP, the ACB Court has maintained that the hearing in the case should be completed as soon as possible going by the orders of the Supreme Court and High Court.

The vote-for-note case surfaced after nominated Telangana MLA Stephenson complained back in May 2015. In the complaint, he reportedly maintained that he was offered Rs 5 crore by Revanth Reddy, the then TDP MLA to cast his vote for the TDP nominee.

Going by the compliant, the ACB sleuths have arrested Revanth Reddy, Bishop Sebastian Harry, and Rudra Udaya Simha. The accused were arrested when they were offering money to the nominated MLA.
