Special CBI Court postpones Jagan Bail cancellation hearing to June 1!
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 May 2021 10:45 AM GMTAs a sensational development in the case pertaining to the cancellation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's bail in the quid pro quo cases, the Central Bureau of India (CBI)Special Court has adjourned the next hearing to the 1st of June.
As per the earlier schedule, CM Jagan was supposed to file a counter-affidavit in his bail case on Tuesday. Earlier, the special court said, Tuesday will be the last chance for Jagan to file a counter-affidavit.
However, advocates, who represented the Chief Minister, told the court that, Jagan couldn't file the counter affidavit in the case as lockdown measures are active in Telangana. Citing this, the advocates sought some more time
Countering the arguments of Jagan's advocates, advocates who represented YSRCP Rebel MP Raghu Rama Kriushnam Raju told the court that counter-affidavit can be filed through email also and said, the lawyers are delaying the process purposefully.
Hearing the arguments of both sides, the Judge at the special CBI court adjourned the hearing to June 1, thus giving some more time to the Chief Minister to file a counter-affidavit.
The plea requesting the cancellation of bail of the Chief Minister was filed by Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju aka RRR. In the petition, he alleged that Jagan is threatening the witnesses in the cases which come under the misuse of the bail.
