The Island nation Sri Lanka is dealing with a deadly crisis and the nation has not seen such a crisis like this since its inception. With the cooking gas, groceries, and other prices reaching an all-time high, the people in the nation are hitting the roads to protest against the serving President.

Things escalated quickly in crisis-hit Sri Lanka after the protest carried out by the public turned intense. With things slipping out of hand, police personnel used tear gas to clear the crowd. The protesting crowd hit back by pelting stones at the Police personnel.

The curfew that was imposed to deal with the ongoing protests was lifted as the situation came under control. The curfew was imposed after the protesting crowd had reportedly destroyed various properties including the army trucks and a few other vehicles.

The violent incident had left many people injured including Police personnel. Following this, the government took the tough call of imposing a curfew in the nation. The crisis made the people become violent and carry out protests.

As a result of the crisis, the prices of the supplies went up massively while the supply had come down. Petrol is costing more than Rs 200 while Chicken costs over 1k per kilo. The aspects like trade deficit and inability to maintain the reserves had pushed the nation towards a deadly crisis.
