As per reports Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who was recently awarded with the Padma Vibhushan is now going to get another honour. He is all set to win one of the most prestigious awards in the world.
As per a report in the national media name of Ravishakar guruji has appeared as a likely contender for the prestigious Nobel peace award for this year. The nominations for this year's Nobel Peace Prize will be announced on October and nominations for the coveted peace prize closed on February 1. The media house refers to a report published by Thomson Reuters Foundation in its blog.
The Art of Living Foundation is one of the world's largest volunteer based organization and it has members in more than 150 countries. Ravi Shankar has actively engaged in peace making efforts in Columbia. Last year Columbian government honoured Sri Sri with their highest civilian award, 'Orden de la Democracia Simon Bolivar'. The noble peace prize comes with a cash reward of $1.2 million.
