The top court upheld Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code that criminalizes homosexualityA bench of justice GS Singhvi and justice SJ Mukhopadhaya delivered the verdict stating Homosexual acts are illegal and crime.Under it homosexual acts were punishable by a 10-year prison term..

On a sudden surprise many Telugu actors are disappointed with Supreme Court's verdict on criminalising homosexuality. Few Tollywood stars like Siddharth, Shruti Hassan, Rahul Ravindran, Lavanya, Chinmayi Sripaada and a few others have condemned the Court's judgment.

Siddarth is the first one who reacted on the decision and took his twitter

Siddart tweeted, "We are calling our citizens criminals for doing something that is their fundamental birth right to do & is natural. Mera Bharat kahaan? Sad. Face it. Whoever comes to power, the people will always be powerless. Some of us, all of us...the species most at risk is us.

The Telugu actor added, "My dear friends from the LGBT community, the next time anybody speaks to you about how great India is, take a selfie of you slapping them. India is a bigot nation. I pray that every person who tries to deny another person their rights gets IBS. Bigots beware. Hex hex hex!"

On her Twitter page, actress Shruti Hassan also wrote, "Second 377 its frightening how someone else decides how when and who you should love -basically freedom of choice isn't legal anymore." She added, "So marriage is a natural choice has nothing to do with society I guess :)
