Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Chennai to pay condolences to former Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi. He spoke to DMK Working President MK Stalin and his Sister Kanimozhi after paying last respects to Karunanidhi at the Rajaji Hall in Chennai.
On the other hand, Madras High Court granted permission for burial of Karunanidhi near Annadurai Memorial at the Marina Beach. HC directed Tamil Nadu Government to make arrangements for the final rituals of former CM immediately. In addition, An order was passed to take measures for establishing Karunanidhi memorial at the burial site.
