Star Hero wants Rs 1000 crore

Yes, Kamal Haasan wants exactly Rs 1000 crore. This is not for any business establishment but in the form of revenue for a single Indian film.
During the Media and Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC) conducted by Federation of India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Kamal Haasan strongly felt Indian film has the potential to make Rs 1,000 crore based on the current ticket prices even if 10 percent of population in the country watches a movie. "In India, there are at least 1-billion movie watching people. If 10% of that population watches a film here, Rs 1,000 crore is gettable through theatricals alone," he opined.
Kamal, however, complained there is no transparency in the collection process in India. He expressed the feeling that collections of Indian films will be more than Hollywood if there is honesty.
