Star Hyderabadi player opens sports academy

VVS launched sports academy to train youngsters in cricket and other games.The academy was named as VVS Laxman sports academy and it will be functioning from 50 acres campus in Azeej Nagar
Laxman hoped that enthusiastic youngsters in the vicinity would benefit immensely from this facility. He recalled his early days when he learnt the nuances of the sport at the St. John's Foundation .Hyderabadi cricketers and for that matter, players from across the country would benefit greatly from his expertise and coaching.
On 18 August 2012, Laxman announced his retirement from international cricket. Laxman said that his post retirement time was being mostly spent with his family.
