Pan-India might be the new phenomenon and more and more stars from the southern languages are entering the elite club and enjoying popularity and stardom at the national level. Even before the Pan-India trend in the country, a few veteran stars rose to massive stardom and earned fans.

The undisputed king of Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi is among the few stars who saw super popularity even before the Pan-India trend was started. He is known for his dancing skills and even at this age, he dances to songs with unmatchable ease. The torch bearer of the Mega family is credited for bringing the break dance to the Tollywood film industry.

Now a piece of new news came out which says that a star Indian cricketer is fond of Megastar and he has a nickname after Chiranjeevi as Chiru. Indian cricketer's old friend disclosed the news and took everyone by surprise.

The star cricketer who is fond of Megastar Chiranjeevi is none other than the former skipper of the Indian team, Virat Kohli. Kohli's ex-teammate Dwaraka Ravi Teja while playing the U-15 games said that Virat used to dance to Chiranjeevi's songs when he used to see Chiranjeevi's songs on TV.

Walking down memory lane, Kohli's former teammate Dwaraka Ravi Teja remembered all these things after he met Kohli in the United Kingdom. Kohli also remembers his memories and he addressed Ravi Teja as Chiru as they call each other as Chiru.

"Met him aftr 6 yrs after IPL in UK & 1st thing he tells me is Chiru Kaise hai tu? U-15 days we were roommates & I used to watch chiranjeevi's songs on tv & he danced to them & from then on Chiru was nickname we gave each other..It was great seeing u Chiru," Ravi Teja tweeted.

This shows how Chiranjeevi has fans across the regions of the country. He did a direct Hindi film The Gentleman, the official remake of the Tamil film Gentleman a few decades back. The current generation knows him as almost all his films get dubbed into Hindi.

Chiranjeevi might not be in the best form in scoring big hits at the box office. But that doesn't reduce his stature and popularity. Chiranjeevi was last seen in Acharya which co-stars his son, Mega Powerstar Ram Charan Tej.
