Star Writer fined for Drunken Driving

It is known that Kona Venkat was caught drunken driving at Banjara Hills on last Friday at the time when the cops were conducting special drive in the city. The Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) was detected as 40 mg per ml, which is more than the permissible limit (30 mg per ml) to drive vehicles.
After booking a drunken drive case against Kona Venkat, Cops have made him attend counseling session at Traffic Training Institute in Goshamahal and later he was produced before the Third Metropolitan Magistrate along with 337 people who are involved in similar acts. The cases include 264 two wheelers, 7 three wheelers, 60 four wheelers and 6 others.
Magistrate B Chengalaraya Nayudu awarded serious punishment of three days imprisonment each for 22 people. Kona Venkat and other respondents were fined for Rs 2100 each and given a stern warning not to repeat such mistake.
This incident is an eye-opener for Tollywood celebs who think they are beyond the law. Hyderabad Cops should be commended for implementing the rules strictly and treating everyone equally.
