State-Run Stall To Sell Fresh Toddy In Necklace Road!
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 Dec 2022 1:05 PM GMTKallu or Toddy is a traditional drink. Many people prefer drinking it. But liquor shops did not give any chance for the traditional drink. To provide a good platform for the Kallu Geetha Karmikulu, the Telangana government started Kallu Compounds and the business is doing well.
We can find many Kallu Compounds in the state and there are such establishments in areas like Bolaram as well. Now the Telangana government is said to be in plans to give another big push for the toddy.
The latest news is that the government wants to make available Neera, the unfermented nectar from the trees. The new establishment is likely to come in Necklace Road and the cost of this is said to be around Rs 13 crores. The establishment would be launched by Chief Minister KCR soon.
An official from the Telangana Tourism department said that the aim of the establishment is to provide safe and fresh Neera to customers. The work of extracting the Neera and processing it would be done by the machinery and the machines were in place.
At a time ovre 300 people can have a drink there as there are stalls that accommodate them. If the establishment starts functioning then it would be another feather in Necklace Road. People who visit the area would visit it.
On top of this, the establishment is state-run and we don't see the government taking care of such stalls usually. But the Telangana government wants to run the stall.
