Statue of Unity has more visitors than Statue of Liberty: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off eight train services to Gujaratâs Kevadia from various parts of the country. After launching the train services, Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen.
During the address, the Prime Minister said, the train services will boost tourism and increase connectivity to Kevadia, from the various parts of the country.
Adding further, Narendra Modi said that the Statue of Unity in Gujarat attracted more tourists than the Statue of Liberty in the United States. Nearly 50 lakh tourists have visited the Statue of Unity.
Out of the eight services, the Ahmedabad-Kevadia Jan Shatabdi Express comes with special facilities like 'Vista-dome tourist coach'. The special coach enables the passengers to view the areas with rooftop glasses.
The union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi constructed the Statue of Unity, the world's tallest statue of the First Deputy Prime Minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The statue of unity was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October 2018. The engineering marvel was started on 31 October, on his 143rd birth anniversary.
