Stephen Ravindra's Loss Is Rajendranath Reddy's Gain
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Aug 2020 6:53 AM GMTFinally, after a wait of more than a year-and-a-half, the dreams of Stephen Ravindra Babu of becoming the AP Government's intel chief have been dashed. Unable to ward off the procedural issues, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has finally appointed KV Rajendranath Reddy as the intel chief of the state.
Jagan had actively lobbied for Stephen Ravindra and had even convinced Telangana CM to loan Ravindra to AP. KCR readily agreed, but the Central Government's general administration department had put its foot down. It said this would set a bad precedent. Jagan tried every trick in the trade, but to no avail. Unable to wait any longer, he appointed KV Rajendranath Reddy to the coveted post. Reddy would now be eyes and ears to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Reddy has made a name for himself as the chief of the vigilance and enforcement wing of the AP government. He has dealt with several high profile cases in the state during the last one year. Now that he has become the intel chief, all hopes of Stephen Ravindra have now been dashed.
