Stones pelted on Yuvraj Singh house
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 April 2014 9:21 AM GMTIndian cricketer Yuvraj Singh who is the champion of ICC World Cup 2011 became villain all of the sudden after India's defeat in ICC Twenty20 World Cup final on Sunday.
Off late, Yuvraj Singh is in bad form. He came for batting after Rohit Sharma's wicket and scored just 11 of 21 balls that led to a below-par score 130/4 in 20 Overs. India is short by 20 runs and this costed the World Cup title as Srilanka comfortable chased the low score.
Yuvraj should be blamed for not accelerating despite facing so many balls at crucial juncture of the Indian innings. Angry fans pelted stones at the all-rounder's house in Chandigarh on Sunday. Youths who arrived in three cars created a ruckus at the cricketer's residence. Security has been tightened after this incident.
Yuvraj's father Yograj Singh defended his son by saying Ups and Downs are part and parcel of the game of cricket.
