Row over Narayana College Student Death
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Sept 2017 9:53 AM ISTA Student of Narayana College in Gudavalli near Vijayawada outskirts was found dead on Sunday evening. Protests erupted as soon as the news spread like wildfire. While College Management has been saying Eshwar Reddy has committed suicide, Parents of the deceased allege their son was beaten to death and he isn't a coward to commit suicide.
Around 1,700 Students reacted violently following the mysterious death of their fellow student. They broke the furniture and glasses in the campus. Immediately, College Management announced Dussehra Holidays for the Students.
Student Organizations sought inquiry into the death of Eshwar Redy's death. FSI & YSRC Student Wing had staged a protest in the college campus on Monday. They demanded sacking of Minister Narayana from the cabinet and cancellation of the Educational Institution's recognition.
A case of suspicious death under Section 174 has been registered. The mortal remains were handed over to the parents after the post-mortem.
Eshwar Reddy attended classes on Sunday morning and even appeared for weekly examination in the afternoon. He was found death at 4.45 PM. Why didn't College Management inform the family members about the tragedy? Parents of Eshwar Reddy came to know about it only at 8 PM when fellow students called them to inform. Cops say suicide note wasn't found so far.
