Know Why Youth Are Attending Babu's Meetings In Such Huge Numbers?
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Dec 2018 5:39 AM GMTWho is the worst sufferers because of Chandrababu Naidu's spate of public meetings in Andhra Pradesh? Without doubt the students, especially the college students. With people refusing to attend Chandrababu's long harangues at the public meetings, the TDP leaders and the government officials are now asking the college managements to send their students to fill the audience spaces. The students are being bundled into the college buses and are being moved to the public meeting venues. The officials and the police are ensuring that the students do not leave the place till Chandrababu's speech ends.
As a result, the students are put to great inconveniences. They are losing their classes and are forced to attend much against their wishes. The local politicians and officials are said to be calling up the college managements and are asking them to send their student to the meeting. There are no official orders, only oral instructions. But, the college managements are falling in line as they do not want the administration to be on the wrong side.
The students are being herded from at least four or five different colleges. The transport and provision of food for the students who attend such meetings has to be taken care of by the college managements themselves. In several instances, the college managements have threatened to give less marks if the students refuse to attend such meets.
