Shashi Tharoor Charged With Abetment To Suicide

In the 3,000-pages charge sheet filed by Delhi Police in connection with the murder case of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, Shashi Tharoor was charged for abetment of suicide (Section 306) and Cruelty in Marriage (Section 498 A).
Whereas, Shashi Tharoor complained the charge sheet is preposterous saying nobody who knew Sunanda Pushkar would believe she would ever commit suicide. He questioned the motive of Delhi Police behind reaching such a conclusion after four-plus years of investigation.
Mr.Tharoor recalled a Law Officer informing Delhi High Court in October 2017 that no evidence have been found against anyone regarding Sunanda Pushkar's death case. He added, 'Now in 6 months they say that I have abetted a suicide. unbelievable!'.
Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in her hotel room on January 17th, 2014. Delhi Police took this long to file chargesheet as it's related to Thiruvananthapuram MP.
