Sundar Pichai To Get 2,500 Crs This Week!

Google CEO Sundar Pichai is going to cash in $380 million(Rs.2,5,24 crores approx) stock award this week as per the Bloomberg website. Sundar Pichai had received 3,53,939 restricted shares from Google owned by Alphabet Inc. when he was promoted to Sr. Vice President four years ago. The payout is one of the largest single payouts to a company executive.
It is known that Sundar Pichai became CEO of Google from 2015. He took reigns of the company from Google co-founder Larry Page. The award value has been increased by 90% since the grant date because Google's share value increased. Restricted stock(shares) is not fully transferable from the stock-issuing company to the person receiving the stock award until certain restrictions have been met.
Mr. Pichai received two more nine-figure awards since he got this award. The company is yet to disclose Sundar Pichai compensation for 2017.
