Indian opener Rohit Sharma, who was ruled out of the Aussies tour due to his fitness concerns has worked hard at the National Cricket Academy(NCA) and gained his fitness.

He has reached Australia earlier in December. However, as he had to stay in a quarantine facility for 14 days, he missed the second test and will be available for the third test against Australia.

As the third test is very crucial, as both teams won one each, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar came up with some suggestions regarding the playing XI for the Indian team.

Speaking at a game show, Sunil Gavaskar said that Rohit Sharma should open the innings for India along with Mayank Agarwal. Though Mayank didn't look good so far, he should open the innings with Rohit Sharma.

Talking about Shubman Gill, who made an impressive Test debut, Sunil Gavaskar said he should bat at No.3 in the third test.

He said Shubman Gill's approach to the game will make him suitable to bat at No. 5. He mentioned that, during Under 19, Gill batted at lower order.

Adding further, Gavaskar said, except for this, the Indian team can go ahead with the same team without making any changes.
