SC Tells Centre To Make Sure Smog And Air Pollution Will Not Affect Delhi

The three-bench Constitution led by the Chief Justice of India(CJI) directed the Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to make sure that the smog and air quality will not faucet the national capital.
The Delhi-NCR region has the worst air quality in the country. It worsens further as the farmers burn stubble in the neighboring states during October and November.
On top of that, the Diwali festival is also nearing which is an area of concern. Earlier, the international public health body World Health Organization(WHO) has warned about the air quality in Indian during the festive season.
Senior Advocate Vikas Singh who appeared before the Court on the behalf of the petitioners told the top court that the air quality is very poor in the national capital and the situation should be treated as a health emergency, reports claimed.
