The End of Vote Bank Politics using Caste & Religion

The Apex Court made it clear that no politician is allowed to seek votes in the name of caste, creed and religion. Terming that Election is a secular exercise, It opined that certain process has to be practiced by all the parties and politicos.
The Top Court made these comments during the hearing of a 'Hindutva' case. It explained that parties or politicians can't used religion to seek votes in the election as the relationship between god and man is an individual choice. The 7-judge bench opined garnering votes using religion amounts to corrupt practice and could lead to disqualification of the winning candidate.
Certain Politicial Parties like Akali Dal and Indian Muslim League had been known to be established based on religious ideologies. Now, What will be the future of such parties.
