Nirbhaya Gangrape: Death Penalty confirmed!

The Supreme Court Today upheld the death sentence of four convicts of Nirbhaya Gangrape Case.
As many as 6 Men had gang-raped a 23-Year-Old Paramedic in a moving bus on the night of December 16th, 2012. Assaulting her brutally using an iron rod damaged her internal organs and led to her death at a hospital in Singapore on Dec 29th.
Delhi High Court awarded death penalty to the four convicts. While Prime Accused Ram Singh committed suicide in Tihar jail in March 2013, A Juvenile was released after he served 3 years of sentence.
Four Convicts (Pawan, Mukesh, Akshay Kumar Singh and Vinay Sharma) moved Supreme Court against the HC Verdict. However, The Apex Court upheld the order of lower court taking the gang-rape, bodily harm caused and attempts to destroy evidence into consideration.
Nirbhaya's Mother was seen shedding tears when the verdict was announced. All those present in the courtroom clapped when the judgement was announced.
