Sasikala convicted, Jail Term to be served!

In a major jolt, The Supreme Court Today convicted AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala Natarajan in the 21-Year-Old disproportionate assets case. As a result, Sasikala willn't be taking over as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
Karnataka High Court acquitted Jayalalitha, Sasikala and her relatives VN Sudhakaran and Elavarasi from Rs 66.5 crore illegal assets case on May 11th, 2015. However, Karnataka Government challenged the verdict in the Supreme Court. SC on Tuesday set aside the High Court and pronounced the quantum of punishment for Sasikala.
The Apex Court ordered Sasikala Natarajan to surrender immediately. A jail sentence of up to 4 years has been awarded to the AIADMK Supremo. As Chinnamma has already served 6 months in prison, She will now serve remaining 3-and-a-half years of sentence.
