Jagan's DA Case: Huge setback to CBI!
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 April 2017 8:49 AM GMTCBI moved the court seeking cancellation of YS Jaganmohan Reddy's bail citing that YCP Chief has been influencing the witnesses in the disproportionate assets case. Much to the shock of the investigation agency, A Court in Hyderabad Today dismissed the petition moved by it. The next hearing of the case is going to be on June 9th this year. Even Jagan was directed to file a counter to CBI's plea by April 7th.
Former Chief Secretary of United AP who was a witness in Jagan's DA Case spoke in favor of AP Opposition Leader in a recent interview. Subsequently, CBI sought the court to cancel Jagan's bail.
Altogether 11 charge sheets have been filed by CBI in Jagan's DA Case. Jagan was arrested in March 2012 on charges of quid-pro-quo deals. He was granted bail only after 16 months though rules doesn't permit imprisonment for more than 90 days if charges weren't proven. Finally, YCP Chief was granted bail in September 2013.
YSR Congress Leaders allege CBI's plea seeking cancellation of Jagan's bail could be a ploy of Opponents ahead of 2019 Polls.
