Early Polls: Supreme Court Shocks KCR!
X
Shashank Reddy, a native of Siddipet, moved the Supreme Court against the Early Polls planned by CM K Chandrasekhar Rao by dissolving the Assembly 9 months in advance. The Top Court accepted the petition and served show-cause notices to Caretaker CM KCR & Election Commission seeking it's reply over the objections raised by the petitioner.

The Petitioner pointed out several lakhs of voter cards obtained with false information in Telangana. He bought to the notice of the Apex Court that around 20 lakh people will be denied the opportunity to vote if the Assembly Polls get preponed. 'Due to Early Polls, Only those who attained 18 years by January 1st, 2018 will be considered as Voters. Right to vote will be denied for 20 lakh people if this happens. If Assembly Polls happen as per schedule, Even those who attains 18 years age by January 1st, 2019 can cast their votes,' argued Shashank Reddy.

Supreme Court asked Telangana Government and Election Commission to respond on the show-cause notice within a week. What will be the counter of Caretaker CM KCR to the argument of the Petitioner?
