Supreme Court issues Notices for Chandrababu

Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the cash-for-vote case. TDP Supremo was asked to file a counter at the earliest.
After the Forensic Lab confirmed the voice in the tape was that of TDP Supremo, Mangalagiri MLA RK moved a petition in ACB Court seeking prosecution of Chandrababu Naidu. ACB Court has given the consent but High Court quashed the order after Chandrababu challenged it saying offering bribe for vote doesn't come under corruption. YCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy challenged the High Court Order in Supreme Court claiming Cash-for-Vote falls under the Anti-Corruption Law.
Alla Ramakrishna Reddy's Lawyer P Sudhakar Reddy expressed confidence that Chandrababu Naidu could no way escape the punishment. 'If Chandrababu is innocent, why does he face the investigation? Law is one and the same for all. CBN must face jail term if he is involved in the cash-for-vote case,' he told.
