TTD Issues? Approach HC First: Supreme Court
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Sep 2018 12:29 PM GMTBJP Leader Subramanian Swamy moved a petition in the Supreme Court against the sacking of Ramana Deekshitulu as the head priest of TTD and also regarding the missing Jewellery of the almighty. In his PIL, MP maintained AP Government shouldn't have control over TTD. He sought CBI Probe into the alleged financial irregularities of the Tirumala Temple funds.
The Apex Court quashed the petition of the Subramanian Swamy saying TTD follows it's own set of rules and it can't interfere. At the same time, The Petitioner was advised to move High Court if he wishes to proceed further.
After Supreme Court rejected his petition, Subramanian Swamy reacted: 'The Supreme Court correctly observed that someone had filed a case against the Archaka's dismissal and this dismissal challenge was part of my petition. So Bench advised me to first go the HC. I agreed'.
