Shock to BJP, SC restores Cong Govt in AP!

The Supreme Court on Wednesday restored Congress Government in Arunachal Pradesh by declaring the decision of Governor to dismiss Nabam Tiki Government as illegal. This came as a major setback to NDA Government which kept saying Governor has done nothing objectionable.
SC Bench comprising of five judges opined Governor Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa's move advancing the State Assembly Session by a month comes under violation of Constitution.
Nabam Tiki led Congress Government was dismissed by Governor following the revolt of 20 MLAs in December 2015. Later, Kalikho Pul who led the rebel MLAs took charge as Chief Minister with the support of 11 BJP Legislators and Two Independents on February 19th this year.
Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker then moved Gauhati High Court against Kalikho Pul Government. However, The HC rejected his petition and stayed the disqualification of 14 Congress MLAs. This development prompted the Speaker to move Supreme Court and the judgment came in his favor.
