Supreme Courts Response Shocks Telangana Government!

The alleged MLAs poaching row which is also dubbed as the Moinabad Farmhouse case not only created a sensation in Telangana politics but also gave a big opportunity to target the Bharatiya Janata Party which is aggressively spreading its wings in the state and prove that it has a role to play in this.

The Telangana government is not ready to leave the issue and is trying hard on this. The ruling party in the state knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court challenging the verdict of the High Court to transfer the case to CBI. A petition was filed seeking some key orders.

The lawyer who represented the Telangana government sought directives to seek a stay or status quo on the verdict given by the bench of the High Court supporting the verdict of a single bench to give the case to CBI for the probe. But the Supreme Court said no to this.

Saying no to the request made by the lawyer, the Bench of the Supreme Court said that the petition will be heard on the 17th of this month. Having said that the Bench said if there are any merits then it will ask CBI to return the documents.

The alleged MLAs' poaching row went through a lot of twists and turns. The state government formed a Special Investigating Team to probe the matter and the accused in the case were given notices in the case. But they moved the court challenging this.

Later the case went through a big development after the single-judge bench said that the case should be given to the CBI. But the Telangana government challenged the verdict and filed a petition before the bench. But the bench supported the verdict given by the single-judge bench.

The state government then moved the Supreme Court. However, the Supreme Court bench said that the petition cannot be heard on an urgent basis. The petition will be heard two weeks later.

The response given by the bench in the case should be seen as a big blow to the state government which wants to prove that BJP is behind this and the party has a role.
