Supreme Court Shocks Nandamuri Balakrishna, Serves Notice!
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Aug 2022 12:42 PM GMTActor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna suffered a big shock with the country's top court Supreme Court serving notices. Along with the senior hero, the Apex Court also served notices to the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Without any doubt, the new development grabbed everyone's attention.
Tracing the details, Nandamuri Balakrishna's landmark 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni tells us the story of a Telugu king who almost ruled the nation. As the film glorified the Telugu king, both Telugu states gave tax exemptions for the film.
However, a firm found fault with the team for not reducing the ticket fares despite getting a helping hand. Agonist this, a PIL was found in the Supreme Court and sought directives to direct the team to deposit the money the team got from the tax exemptions.
The bench of the Supreme Court led by Justice Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud heard the petition and served notices to Hindupur MLA Balakrishna and the governments in both states.
Now we have to wait and see what Blakarishna and the governments will say. Will the makers of Gautamiputra Satakarni deposit the money with the governments? Well, we may have to wait for a few days to get more clarity.
