Supreme Court To Adopt A New Dress code

Amid COVID-19 pandemic, the Supreme Court of India opted to scarp the summer vacation and the apex court will be working in the vacation period via video-conference to compensate the period that lost due to the nationwide lockdown.
It has been widely reported that the apex court might go for a new dress code for judges and lawyers as the gowns and robes are believed to be more vulnerable to the fatal virus.
This new development came after a judge's committee recently submitted its report to the Chief Justice of India(CJI) in which many suggestions were given like reducing the period of summer vacation and hear the cases through video-conference as the novel coronavirus is spreading its deadly wings in the country.
The apex court said that all the district courts in the states should also adopt the video-conferencing mode to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
