Supreme Eyes On Wedding Expenses

It is presently considering the case whether marriage expenditure should be submitted to the government officials or not. You may be wondering why the Supreme Court is considering this issue now. Some senior advocates say that if the government has a clear documentation regarding the marriage expenses, it will avoid disputes raise in future between the wife and husband.
The bench comprising Justice Adarsh Goel.. Justice S. Abdul Nazeer revealed that they are going to enquire on the aspect whether the expenses should be submitted from both the parties or not. The senior justices are opining that they will also consider the aspect of depositing some amount of marriage expenses in the name of the bride at the time of the wedding.
Though submitting the marriage expenditure details appears to be aimed at solving the future troubles, it will pose a few practical troubles. Marriage is a private affair between two individuals. It is related to two families. Among the lakhs of marriages, only a few marriages lead to fights. In such a scenario, asking the expenditure details will invade the privacy.
It may lead to corruption as the expenditure to be submitted to the government officials. It is interesting to see how Supreme Court is going to take a decision on this aspect.
