Supreme Court To Go Digital Soon
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 March 2020 10:02 AM GMTTalking about the functioning of the Court in the wake of the Coronavirus threat, the chairperson of the Supreme Court e-committee, justice DY Chandrachud said that the Supreme Court will soon go digital in terms of filing cases and court proceedings.
He said this in a meeting that was held to address the functioning of the Court. Justices Arun Mishra, UU Lalit, DY Chandrachud and L Nageswara Rao were present in the meeting which was chaired by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde
Justice Chandrachud said that the people-to-people contact will be cut short in the apex court with the introduction of the video conferencing facility for the court proceedings.
Once video conferencing is introduced, smart televisions will be installed in the press lounge for the convenience of journalists, justice Chandrachud said.
