Supreme Court to judge AP Bifurcation

The petitioners complained that UPA Government bifurcated United AP violating the basic structure of the Constitution.
Chief Justice JS Khehar and Justice DY Chandrachud agreed to examine the constitutional validity of notification issued on March 1st, 2014 to divide United Andhra Pradesh into AP & Telangana from June 2nd, 2014. Now, The Apex Court would judge the procedure followed for United AP bifurcation.
Petitioners allege people of the country weren't aware of what happened in Parliament at the time of Voting as live telecast has been suspended. They also pointed out about the passage of AP Reorganisation Bill 2014 within just 23 minutes for political gains.
