NCP MP Supriya Sule's statement that parliamentarians do indulge in pep talk & gossip when speeches get repetitive during discussion on serious issues in Parliament.

The Senior MP admitted she could hardly remember what the fourth speaker has said during a debate as she losses interest after hearing the speeches of the first three members. Supriya Sule says its then other MPs start gossiping and people who watch these development from gallery or on TV believe they are discussion about National issues.

Speaking to female students and young women in Nashik of Maharashtra, Sule said: 'After seeing me speaking to an MP from Chennai, People might assume we might be discussing about Chennai floods. But, We actually discuss about where our Sarees were purchased'.

The Woman MP also revealed Male MPs would tease her saying if there s 50 percent reservation for women, discussion will be only on sarees, facials and parlors.

Though the MP have made these comments in a light-hearted manner, They were creating a storm in political circles at the moment. Post the uproar, Supriya Sule said she was completely misquoted and her statement was pulled out of context.
