Candidates contesting in Karnataka Assembly Polls have been coming up with innovative offers to lure the voters. The offer announced by Suresh who is testing his luck in upcoming elections became a hot topic.
The pamphlets distributed by Suresh reads: 'If you vote for Me, I will be sending 600 grams of Mutton to your house every week. 18-plus Individuals would receive liquor for free once in a month. Your precious vote should be cast for Me'.
Interestingly, Suresh claims the offer introduced by him would be a death blow to the liquor mafia in the constituency. These pamphlets have gone viral on the social media.
Few other Candidates have been offering feasts to general public in hotels and public places ahead of Assembly Polls. They were bearing the cost of catering for marriages with the hopes of bagging the votes of guests. Demand for Chicken and Mutton has grown immensely in the recent past and their prices are at record high. As per 2014, There are 78.9 percent non-vegetarians in Karnataka. Hence, Politicians are announcing such schemes.
