Suresh Raina as Captain for New IPL Franchise

Indian star batsman Suresh Raina received a promotion in the form of an opportunity to be the skipper of an IPL Franchise.
It is known that Justice Mudgal Committee suspended IPL Franchises Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for 2 years on grounds of betting & match fixing charges. As a result, BCCI replaced these two teams with Pune & Rajkot Franchises. Indian ODI & T20 captain MS Dhoni will do the job as skipper for Pune franchise.
For the Rajkot IPL team named as Gujarat Lions, Suresh Raina who is the highest run scorer in IPL was appointed as the skipper. The franchise owned by Keshav Bansal will have Australian Brad Hodge as its head coach.
After being appointed as captain, Suresh Raina said it would be a challenge to face Dhoni under whose captaincy he played at the International level and also in the IPL.
