Shankara Sadananda Swami Alias Shankara Swami Alias Sri Shankara Vidyananda Saraswati Swami is a resident of Kuppada NGO Colony in Visakhapatnam. In 2014, He was arrested on charges of stealing Wireless Set, Microphone and Walkie-Talkie from a police jeep. Based on the complaint from Constable Sivakumar, Then Circle Inspector Lakshmana Rao registered FIR under Section 379 of IPC.

There were several other allegations against Shankara Swami. He was accused of cheating public in Beach Road by claiming to be a Cop in mufti. Recently, Swami bought a Renault Duster Car by offering Rs 5 lakh advance. He then cheated the showroom management by offering a post-dated cheque.

At 3.30 pm on Tuesday, CM Chandrababu Naidu reached Visakha Airport. By then, Shankara Swami and a Pundit was waiting in the VIP Lounge. Only those people who's names are in the protocol list could meet CM in such situations. Shankara Swami not only managed to meet CM but also offered his blessings.

Later, Shankara Swami went to a showroom and took the clothes he need for free by showing the photograph in which he blessed CM. He even met a key TDP Leader in the Visakha District and sought Government land to establish peetam.

Neither Revenue Officials nor Security Personnel are able to give proper explanation regarding the meeting between CM Chandrababu and Shankara Swami. They say permission was granted after Swami requested them to meet the Chief Minister.
